Intersection Of Fashion & Decor
The Story of Etrelya Designs
Creating wearable art, and decor is like breathing air for me. I discovered my gift and passion for design at the tender age of 4 while taking weekly trips to the Minnesota Fabric Store (now known as Joann Fabrics) with my Mom. While walking down isles of endless rows of colorfully luxurious fabrics and trims, and then amazingly watching my creative Mother construct beautiful dresses out of those fabrics for my sisters, and I, I quickly discovered my passion and talent for design.
Equally as important is my unique style, and obsession with accessories which is attributed to my "Dapper Dad". Watching my Dad's style of dress as he prepared for work, and meetings was truly a styling event, as he taught me to pay meticulous attention to complimentary details, like sleeves, jewelry, ascots, boots, and my ultimate favorite: HATS!
At the age of 14, I launched a silk accessory design business, and after high school I completed my Fashion Design, and Tailoring Education at Oakland Tech where I learned the skills of draping, hand stitching, construction, and fashion show production. I learned the business of fashion while interning at Jacobson's Luxury Retailer where I met and received hands on training about and from prominent Fashion Designers, and Brands.
After years of designing and styling, clients began seeking advice on how to merge their personal and decor style, so I eagerly launched Etrelya Designs, LLC. which is the "Intersection of Fashion and Decor"!
